Typical work activities
Your typical work activities vary according to our projects and the nature of your specific role in the related project. As a Market researcher (also known as research executive) you will often specialize in a particular area, such as consumer, industry or social research. During some projects, you will liaise with our clients and agencies in other states which may require you to travel. Work activities may include:
Client-focused:
meeting with clients to negotiate and agree research projects;
preparing briefs and commissioning research;
pitching projects to potential clients;
developing, monitoring and updating client requirements;
managing the work of market researchers and ethnographers
undertaking field work;
debriefing clients on the results and recommendations from research;
acting as a consultant on research techniques for internal and
external clients.
